BarCampRhine – Cross-Border BarCamp on the Rhine

If you want to participate at a very special BarCamp next year, you should not get sea sick. Philippe Schoen, organizer and BarCamper from France, is working on a BarCamp Event on the Rhine, the large river in Europe. The main idea of his is to bring together Campers from France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and any other country to a big, two-week long BarCamp on a ship.

The idea goes like this: You enter the ship in Basel, Switzerland and immediately start to meet new and old friends, present and talk about anything – ranging from topics such as technology, Internet, investment, funding, entrepreneurship, chemistry, biology, you name it. While the ship travels, there can be session on the ship. Sometimes the ship holds on a harbor and people can leave or enter the ship and the event.

If you want to help in any way, feel free to use the Wiki page at BarCamp.org. Add your ideas, wishes, sponsorship and inputs directly there. We will try to create a to-do list and assign task to any volunteers.

And remember the BarCampRules:

  • 1st Rule: You do talk about BarCamp.
  • 2nd Rule: You do blog about BarCamp.
