Was es bislang in Deutschland noch nicht gegeben hat, ist ein LawCamp. Das wird sich jetzt ändern: Am 20. März findet in Frankfurt am Main das erste deutsche LawCamp statt.

Finde ich äusserst interessant. LawCamps waren mir bis jetzt in Europa noch nicht bekannt. Mit der Öffnung des Themengebiets ausserhalb der “Techie-Szene” (Beispiel BlogCamp, originales BarCamp Konzept) ergeben sich immer wieder neue, spannende *Camps.
Wie jedoch beim ersten schweizerischen StartupCamp letztes Jahr in Basel, wird auch für das LawCamp einige Anpassungen am Format vorgenommen:

a das Format unter Juristen vermutlich noch nicht allgemein bekannt ist, wird es mit einem Rumpfprogramm bereits feststehender Referenten gemischt. Unter diesen sind beispielsweise Jörg Heidrich vom heise Verlag, Dr. Florian Drücke vom Bundesverband Musikindustrie, Dr. Patrick Breyer vom Arbeitskreis Vorratsdatenspeicherung, Robert Bartel von der Deutschen Bahn, Bettina Robrecht von der Schufa, Lawblogger Udo Vetter und Ralf Zosel vom Beck Verlag.

BarCampSwitzerland Wiki

The BarCamp community in Alsace is very special and active. I’ve enjoyed my visit to Strasbourg and to BarCampAlsace3 in April 2007.

BlogCampSwitzerland 2.0 is a European conference focusing exclusively on blogging, organized by bloggers for bloggers. It‘s built upon the principles of the famous BarCamp (“ad-hoc unconference”). The next BlogCamp will again host an open environment at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH), for a maximum of 200 Bloggers from all over Europe. We’re again expecting an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction between attendees. Any blogger who wants to contribute is welcome and invited to join.

The organizers want to make some changes this time

What’s new?
If you attended the first BlogCampSwitzerland in March: this one is going to be pretty much the same – so relax, you already know how it works. There are going to be three differences, all per request of participants of 1.0:

• One room out of the five will be reserved for demos – of new software, new websites, new startups, etc.
• We’re going to have five consecutive slots instead of four, so you get to see one more session.
• Lunch will be provided on site to reduce stress and allow more time for talks.

If you did NOT attend BlogCampSwitzerland 1.0: You’ll easily get into it! We cannot think of any excuse for not coming – again.

Help us to promote this event by blogging about it (use the tag blogcampswitzerland) or put a banner on your website or blog.

The idea goes like this: You enter the ship in Basel, Switzerland and immediately start to meet new and old friends, present and talk about anything – ranging from topics such as technology, Internet, investment, funding, entrepreneurship, chemistry, biology, you name it. While the ship travels, there can be session on the ship. Sometimes the ship holds on a harbor and people can leave or enter the ship and the event.

If you want to help in any way, feel free to use the Wiki page at BarCamp.org. Add your ideas, wishes, sponsorship and inputs directly there. We will try to create a to-do list and assign task to any volunteers.

Zumindest einige Vorurteile dürfte das Blog- Camp endgültig aus der Welt geräumt haben: Blogger sind weder ausschliesslich männlichen Geschlechts, noch sind sie nur unter der jüngeren Generation zu finden. Ein weiteres Echo erreichte uns von Franz Patzig, einer der Organisatoren des kommenden Barcamp in Frankfurt und vergangener in Köln und Shanghai. Er begrüßt die Entwicklungen. Barcamps und ihre Spin-Offs” , wie das BlogCamp in Zürich, bereiten eine Grundlage zu besserer Vernetzung über Landesgrenzen hinweg.
