The registration for the fourth BlogCamp in Switzerland is no open for a little while and already 200 people have registered for the event. For the third time the BlogCamp will be held at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
Dominik Tarolli, one of the organizers explains how and why they want to go back to the BarCamp Roots with food, presentation and all that. It’s in German only. He also asks three questions I like to have you answered either on his post or here in the comments:

• Do you think the ETH (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) is the right venue/place for this BlogCamp?
• At a BarCamp, what is more important? To have good food or good presentations?
• What or who would you like to see or present at the BlogCamp 4?

Blogs, Bars und Bier − oder wie man eine Unkonferenz abhält
Vor kurzem traf sich die Schweizer Blogging-Szene zum zweiten Mal an der ETH in Zürich. In entspannter Atmosphäre informierte man sich dort gegenseitig im Rahmen einer Unkonferenz über aktuelle Themen und betrieb Social Networking einmal face to face.

So lautet der Titel eines Artikels über das BlogCampSwitzerland2.0 in der aktuellen Ausgabe der Netzwoche. Leider ist der Artikel online nicht verfügbar. Ich konnte den Artikel jedoch lesen und freue mich riesig .

Currently there are 141 registered participants and close to 20 proposed sessions. But don’t worry, we still have plenty of room left for you. If you are interested, head over to the Wiki, add your name and topic to the list and have some fun with Swiss and European bloggers.
And if you have a video camera it would be great if you bring it to record as many sessions as possible.

Ein weiteres Echo erreichte uns von Franz Patzig, einer der Organisatoren des kommenden Barcamp in Frankfurt und vergangener in Köln und Shanghai. Er begrüßt die Entwicklungen. Barcamps und ihre Spin-Offs” , wie das BlogCamp in Zürich, bereiten eine Grundlage zu besserer Vernetzung über Landesgrenzen hinweg.

It is true! Less than a half year after the first BarCamp in Switzerland, Remo Uherek, Dominik Tarolli, William Lüthi as well as Peter Hogenkamp are organizing the BlogCampSwitzerland, a BarCamp like ad-hoc gathering event. The topic on this event is everything about blog, blogging and the usual suspects. The current participants list is very impressive and grews faster than the intial BarCamp we had by the end of October 2006.

BlogCampSwitzerland will host an open environment at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH), for a maximum of 200 Bloggers from all over Europe. This is going to be an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction between attendees. Any blogger who wants to contribute is welcome and invited to join. It’s all about blogging and the people doing it!

If you are interested in blogs and blog-topics you can not miss this great event. All you need to do is register at the wiki, book your plane/train if you arrive from far far away, have fun and discuss with a lot of smart and great people on March 24 2007 in Zurich.
