For a little while I am playing with the idea to organize the next BarCamp at my university in Rapperswil. Venue is perfect, 2 minutes from the train station, 35 minutes from Zurich HB by train. And the location is perfect. Plenty of rooms do discuss, analyze and develop ideas. There is the beautiful city of Rapperswil with lots of restaurants, bars and of the course the Lake of Zurich.
The university would be willing to offer/sponsor the rooms. So next thing are some sponsors for drinks, food, maybe t-shirts and so on. But for this I need your help.

Do you know any company that would like to sponsor BarCampRapperswil with 200-300 CHF? That is not a lot and the company gets back much. You will be featured on the website as sponsors, you might be on the t-shirts, on information sheets and of course you can be an active participant at the BarCamp.

Details:
We are looking for 5-10 sponsors for 200 to 300 CHF each (best case: 3000 CHF, t-shirts and drinks, apero; worst case: 1000 CHF: drinks and some apero). Of course the more the better. But if we only can get 1000 CHF this is going to be the most “back-to-the-roots BarCamp” ever . Fun for sure!
The current event date is set to 23rd or 30st of October (exactly three years after BarCampZurich, yay!).

Planing BarCampZurich2 Just Started

I’ve just talked to Gabor Cselle and we agreed to organize another BarCamp event in Zurich this year. Yes, we hope to have BarCampZurich2 this year. But for this we need your help.
We haven’t set a date or a location. All we know is that we want to make it happen in July, August or September. And we want to have a different venue this year. Sure, the ETH is nice, but not ideal. So we ask you if you have any idea, contact or venue you want to share with us. If you do leave a comment or contact Corsin or Gabor.

And we love to hear your feedback and opinion. What should we change this time? Just bomb us with ideas and wishes. We want to make this a great BarCamp and a great experience for all.

Jens Schröter from Berlin did a cool video about BarCampZurich. You can see how the participants set up the schedule, a few faces, sessions and much more. Definitely worth a quick look.
